What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government tax scheme that enables us to reclaim basic rate tax on qualifying donations. We can currently reclaim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.
How to make a donation using Gift Aid
In order to make a Gift Aid donation you’ll need to make a Gift Aid declaration by completing a simple form. This will cover all previous gifts made to CHICKS in the last four years and will cover any future gifts that you may make. You can download the multiple gifts form here. Once completed, please return the form to Freepost RLZA-ZHKL-BZKR, CHICKS, Moorland Retreat, Brentor, Tavistock PL19 0LX.
If you would like us to only reclaim Gift Aid on a single donation then please download this single gift form.
To find out more about how Gift Aid works please visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.
Claiming back higher rate tax
Did you know that if you pay the higher rate of tax you too can claim additional tax benefits on donations you make to us under Gift Aid? Simply indicate how much you've donated when completing your tax self-assessment form. Further information can also be found on the HM Revenue & Customs website.
Gift Aid really does make your donation work smarter at no extra cost to you!
