Making Memories… Giving Hope

A cracking evening with Derby Daybreak Rotary

Share

The amazing team at Derby Daybreak Rotary Club have swung into action once more, in aid of CHICKS.  Organiser Dave Laughlin pulled out all the stops and created a fabulous fundraising evening at Belper Town Football Club on St Patrick’s Day which raised over £2,600 on the evening alone.

Derby Daybreak guests and CHICKS supporters tucked in to a delicious Irish-themed three course dinner before being entertained by stand-up comedian, policeman and star of BBC Radio Comedy “It’s A Fair Cop”, Alfie Moore, who cracked everyone up.

Awe-inspiring inspirational speaker Steve Judge not only had guests mesmerised by his incredible courage and determination but also managed to rally them into digging deep for some stunning auction lots too!  With lots ranging from a signed England Rugby Shirt to a holiday cottage in Dartmoor, there was something to appeal to everyone.

Not forgetting generous Felix Frixou from Benz Barvarian who at the last minute put a drive in one of his amazing supercars into the auction – the lucky winner can choose from any of his stable of cars for an exhilarating drive around the Derbyshire countryside.

A huge thanks to all who supported CHICKS on the night - we were overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm of all the guests.
